To resolve the PC client error of Alert Viewer Error: Alert notices are not available in the Alert Viewer due to an error, or incomplete action, or a service has stopped working" then:
- Run RegEdit
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentContrlSet\Control
- Locate the entry 'ServicesPipeTimeout'
- Select Modify
- If it does not exist then you must create it by selecting New followed by DWORD
- Enter a value of 100000 and then save
- Restart the PC to complete
